The Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines national golf course is unquestionably used to internet hosting huge occasions. After the Ryder Cup in 2018 and earlier than the Olympic Games in 2024, the flagship gear of the French Golf Federation (FFG) will host the “National golf week” from Thursday 1er to subsequent Saturday April 3. This new assembly is offered as “The great celebration of French golf”, by Pascal Grizot, new president of the federation.
Trade honest, initiations, competitions, tournaments …
During three days, many animations will be supplied to followers of the little white ball. A golf honest, organized in a 3,000 m tent2, will permit golf followers to fulfill 150 exhibitors professionals. “All the brands will be present,” assures Charles-Henri Bachelier, founding father of Versicolor Sports, co-organizer of the occasion. There will be one thing for everybody. “
Beginners or experienced will be able to test the latest products on the market on the driving range or the putting zone. Initiations, demonstrations, contest and conferences will also be on the program. Pascal Grizot thus hopes to “unite the total golf trade”.
Sports side, three competitions reserved for amateurs will take place on the course of the Eagle: one in doubles, another for women and a last for golf schools in the Paris region.
Finally, two competitions associating professional and amateur players (Pro-Am) will be held on the prestigious course of the Albatross, including the National match play. The high point of the week, this new event will be played on the 1er and April 2 on 6 holes of the course (1, 2, 15, 16, 17 and 18) and will bring together 32 teams. With the participation of some of the best French golfers: Grégory Havret, Joanna Klatten, Mathieu Decottignies-Lafon, Marc-Antoine Farry, Jeong Weon Ko, Jean Bekirian…
Before this “National golf week”, two “Business days” will be organized on March 30 and 31 on the website. These two days of change and reflection between golf professionals will revolve round “conferences and round tables on business and sporting themes”, explains Antoine Robin, founding father of golf # collectively and co-organizer of the occasion. With in specific on March 31, the fifth version of the Golf Trophies, the annual French golf awards ceremony, chaired this 12 months by former tennis participant Julien Benneteau.
Throughout this week, organizers hope to draw 5,000 guests per day.
Admission: 15 euros per day (10 euros for licensees), free for youngsters beneath 18, 2-day go: 25 euros, 3-day go: 30 euros.
