Joe Rogan has been officially replaced as a commentator in the upcoming UFC 4 game, but why has DC taken over in the comment booth?
When UFC 4 launches next month, most players will instantly notice that an iconic voice of the sport is missing from the gaming experience… Joe Rogan.
From the legendary lines of fighting to the expert ventilation of technique and the hilarious analysis of fellow JRE fighters, Rogan is an icon of MMA commentary.
However, Rogan will not appear, or rather his voice will not be heard, in the next UFC game – but why?

- Joe Rogan didn't bring his voice to the UFC 4 commentary team because he “hates to do it.”
Rogan has previously explained that he didn't like providing voiceovers for previous UFC video games in his hit podcast series, JRE.
Speaking to Gamespot, Creative Director Brian Hayes said, “He was open with us from the very beginning that he hated his voice-over experience on previous iterations of other UFC games, and things weren't there. no different for us.
“He also hated doing voiceovers on those games. It has nothing to do with us in particular, or, you know, our games compared to other games. He just doesn't like sitting in a cubicle reading lines for hours at a time. – Brian Hayes.
Hayes continues, “If you are not a person (can) mentally enter this space, then I can see how it could be a very, you know, uplifting, potentially scary experience for a certain type of individual.

Who is commenting on UFC 4 now?
- In UFC 4, Joe Rogan was replaced by former light and heavyweight world champion Daniel ‘DC’ Cormier.
DC has been on the Commentary Team for a number of years now, and during that time, has provided expert analysis and analysis to countless events. The former world champion will join another commentary stand legend Jon Anik, who also featured in the previous UFC 3 title.
However, DC is also part of a team of top five “fight commentators” which include Michael Bisping, Dominick Cruz, Dan Hardy and Paul Felder. Personally, I would love to see these other iconic voices in the sport added to the UFC 4 Commentary as well.

Will Joe Rogan be a fighter in UFC 4?
- At the time of writing, it is not known if Joe Rogan will be a playable fighter in the upcoming UFC 4 game.
We all remember UFC 3 had some interesting additions to the game from the real world MMA community, including UFC President Dana White and veteran Octagon voice Bruce Buffer.
However, some will remember that you can play the role of Joe Rogan in the game as well. Players could unlock Rogan by ending a knockout fight with a spinning back kick, watch the video below.
