The prefecture doesn’t authorize the resumption of motor racing. The organizers of theASA Tropic and the pilots don’t perceive why. In order to get hold of solutions and progress, a mobilization is scheduled for Sunday March 21.
Almost all sports activities have resumed competitors respecting a strict well being protocol. This just isn’t the case for motor racing in Martinique. Rodrigue Théodore, vice-president of ASA Tropic doesn’t perceive this example. The final competitors dates again to September 2020.
He and his group provided a number of situations to the prefecture. But the authorities remained silent in accordance to the chief. He says he considered the Marin hill climb, with groups of 6 together with the pilot. Initially, the organizers had proposed that the race happen behind closed doorways, then to set up particular zones for spectators who can solely enter them after presenting a destructive check to the safety guards with a temperature measurement on the entrance.
The pilots are mobilizing
In order to treatment this example which they deem incomprehensible, Rodrigue Théodore and the opposite pilots have determined to mobilize on Sunday March 21, 2021. They made an appointment on the Lézarde space from 8 am to 10 am.
The purpose is to inform the authorities that our sport exists. We have fans and licensees. In addition, this sport defends values associated to highway security.
Right now, we’re practitioners who do not have an opportunity to specific ourselves. We haven’t any space to prepare, there isn’t any infrastructure in Martinique.
We simply need to be heard so as to have a constructive dialogue and to be able to put issues in place to transfer ahead. Especially since a racing automobile that doesn’t run prices extra.
