Convenient. The Yper utility and Intermarché Le Havre have joined forces to present clients with a “collaborative delivery” system.
The Intermarché on avenue Paul-Verlaine, Aplemont district in Le Havre, has joined forces with the chief in collaborative supply, Yper. The system is straightforward to use: “A customer places an order, both on the internet and in the store. Once the order has been prepared by Intermarché, a shopper [consommateur-acteur] nearby will be notified via the app to pick up the products », Explains Marc Louis-Boyard, communicator for Yper.
The “shopper” chooses
The “shopper” is a voluntary person who comes to pick up the order and deliver it to his neighbors, on his usual route, “When she goes to work, picking up her children from school or doing her own shopping, etc.” lists Marc Louis-Boyard. We are the only platform that leaves the choice: the shopper chooses the delivery according to whether it is available or not. “ On the supermarket’s drive site, the customer clicks on “I have it delivered to my home”. At the top of the order, quarter-hour are sufficient for a request to be accepted by a “shopper”.
This concept of collaborative delivery is in vogue during this pandemic period. The advantage of this system is that everyone can benefit from it, at a lower cost. “The price depends on the store, which is free to set the cost of delivery. In general, the service is free from a certain purchase amount ”, indicates Marc Louis-Boyard.
In times of health crisis, collaborative delivery would therefore be a real asset for Intermarché Le Havre: no need to go to the store, your order comes to you, thus reducing the risk of contamination of the brand’s customers. This, “For two causes: our consumers are made conscious of barrier gestures and journey is safer, as a result of just one individual is employed as an alternative of two”, praises the press and editorial supervisor at Yper.
