In the automotive park close to the Lidl in Bagneux, Sabine, Jan and Enzo divide up the errands to be carried out. The morning’s mission for these volunteers from the native Red Cross unit: ship an aged and remoted girl. “This person does not have much means, we must not exceed 15 euros, so we take the requested product reference and we do not change”, warns Sabine, the director of operations.
The affiliation has simply relaunched its solidarity concierge system, the “Red Cross at home”, whereas the present confinement is prolonged, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. This distribution had already been put in place, in three days, at the daybreak of the first confinement, to make sure its mission of serving to weak folks going through the epidemic.
This Thursday morning, the volunteers make their very first supply since the begin of the reconfinement. “There are a lot fewer deliveries than for the first containment because the latter was more strict. Many more people found themselves destitute because they could no longer get help from those around them, associations or household helpers, for example… ”, observes Sabine.
179 deliveries final spring
During the two months of confinement, the native unit of Bagneux (one of the most vital in Hauts-de-Seine, with 160 volunteers) had subsequently ensured 179 deliveries of shopping but in addition of pharmaceuticals. That is to say almost 30% of the whole achieved in the complete division (614).

The small workforce will get again in its utility, path the northern district. Enzo and Jan will go upstairs alone at hand over the groceries to the outdated girl. “She is quite stressed because of the virus, she is old and cannot move well,” explains Enzo.
