MMA – Franco-Dagestan nugget of MMA Factory, Nassourdine Imavov was making his UFC debut against Jordan Williams at UFC Fight Island 4.
Usual welterweight, Nassourdine Imavov made his UFC middleweight debut against American Jordan Williams. Supposed to fight in the main event of the Contender Series, the Franco-Daghestanais could not go to Las Vegas for lack of visa. In short-notice, he therefore directly won his ticket for the big league.
Round 1: Jordan Williams begins with a work in kicks, middle and low. It was Imavov, however, who hit him the hardest on a low kick. Following an involuntary whim from the two men, the Franco-Daghestanais is struck, and immediately seeks to change level; with success. He gains precious seconds by holding his opponent against the cage. The roles are reversed seconds later, and the American does some damage. The two rookies then exchange in English, in jab for Williams and against for Imavov, each one is successful. An involuntary blow from the parties then momentarily stops the fight. It starts again very strongly on the restart, after a spinning, the American hits hard on a direct. Imavov takes refuge in his fight, and keeps his opponent against the cage. He succeeds in the takedown but his opponent gets up immediately. The Franco-Daghestanais tried the strangulation several times, without success.
