CHARM EL CHEIKH, March 31, 2021 (WAM) – On the directions of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyane, with the help of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyane, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the oversight of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyane, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, United Arab Emirates Camel Racing Federation, organized the “Second Camel Race 2021 “in the town of Sharm El-Sheikh, in the south of the Sinai Governorate of Egypt, in partnership with the Egyptian Federation of Camel Racing.
The race passed off in Sharm El Sheikh Arena, with the participation of conventional camels belonging to Egyptian tribes from numerous governorates.
General Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai Governorate, stated the race completes a collection of races which were held in the town, stressing that it welcomes all camel racing fanatics.
He additionally thanked the management, authorities and folks of the UAE for his or her help for the occasion, noting the cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in organizing camel races in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Eid Hamdane, head of the Egyptian Camel Racing Federation, stated the rebirth of camel herding is the results of such races and has put Egypt on the map of camel racing in the Arab area.
