An outdoor activity par excellence, golf courses were able to reopen on May 11, by respecting a certain number of rules that the French Golf Federation has decreed. The Morzine Avoriaz golf course therefore plans to open from June 13 to September 30, as it does every year. For regulars, it’s time to think about renewing your license and subscription.
For the youngest, it is on Wednesday June 17 that the resumption of the golf school will be played. Open to players from beginners to the most experienced, twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 6 years old, the Morzine Avoriaz golf school is renewed this summer with a new teacher: Julie Berton, professional player on European women's circuits since more than ten years.
For beginners, the first two discovery sessions are offered and equipment can be loaned. The lessons take place on the Avoriaz golf facilities, which meet all Covid safety conditions under the Safeguard label established by the station for its various equipment.
Organized by the Morzine Avoriaz Golf Sports Association, the school allows around thirty young people each year to learn and progress while having fun with a program adapted to each age: initiation, fun courses, passing of flags (the equivalent of stars in skiing or belts in judo), access to competition.
The opportunity to remind that golf is an excellent outdoor sport combining coordination, dynamism, concentration, mental development, reflection, strategy, respect for other players and the rules.
