Sébastien, what's your evaluation of your first 24 Hours of Le Mans, which was, it should be stated, fairly a problem?
“I draw a very positive conclusion, we are at the finish and we grab a ninth place overall in LMP2, so frankly for a Top 10, we would have signed with both hands before the start. We are really happy. It was a long weekend as planned, where a lot of things happened, we stuck to our plan. We tried not to make mistakes and to be consistent. For my part, my first night stint was really nice, we managed to up our pace a bit compared to Saturday. I managed to pay attention to my tires and what is really unfortunate is this error entering the pits, at the start of the race, which gave us a one and a half minute penalty, but I am rather satisfied with the results. and I just want to come back because it was a great event. »
How did you manage your sleep phases during this race, something new for you?
” It went well. It's true that I still expected to sleep slightly more but it's true that in the end I slept twice an hour, I think. In any case, we will sleep tonight (laughs).
“Next step for me is the Kenya Rally”
Endurance is a team effort how did it go with Lilou and Charles?
“Everything went well, once again, Charles true to himself, very fast. He did a very good job in the car and Lilou also like me rookie, here she discovered that. She managed this race very well by not making any mistakes, and when you see everything that happens on the track for 24 hours, managing to stay on the track and finish the race is far from obvious so it's also why we managed to get this ninth place at the finish. Good work from the whole team. »
And after this legendary weekend, what's your subsequent appointment?
“Next step for me is the Kenya Rally from June 23 to 26, 2022 in two weeks. »
