Already more than 100 entries for the tennis tournament in Riec-sur-Bélon – Riec-sur-Bélon

The first exchanges of the Bélon tennis membership tournament, in Riec-sur-Bélon, an unmissable occasion on the summer time circuit, might be began on Monday August 1 and can final till August 14. This twenty fourth version guarantees to be very promising and difficult with already more than 100 entries. In the senior males, we notice the presence of two seeded gamers, ranked 0 and in the women, it goes as much as 4/6. Some tables are already effectively fleshed out, in the youth classes (11-12 years previous, 13-14 years previous, 15-16 years previous, 17-18 years previous women and boys). Three classes are additionally open for veterans (+ 35, 45 and 60 years previous, for males and + 35, 50 and 60 years previous for ladies).

“Our tournament attracts nearly 180 players every summer, from all over Brittany and summer visitors from different French regions. We had also recorded, during the last editions, registrations of South American players, ”says Alex Bernard, president. The tennis fanatic continues: “at the club, we rely, above all, on the quality of the welcome and friendliness. Everything is in place to offer all the participants the best playing conditions. The BTC volunteers were very busy on Thursday to prepare well for this fortnight of non-stop tennis (addition of clay, installation of windbreaks and parasols… )”.
